Former East Central High School track and field standouts Jessie Stenger (left) and Jill Wilhelm earned NCAA Division III All-American honors for their respective colleges at that organization’s national championship meet May 23-25 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Mount St. Joseph University sophomore Wilhelm placed 16th in the javelin throw with a best toss of 38.84 meters to secure second team All-American status. Stenger, a Hanover College sophomore, placed fifth in shot put and 16th in discus to merit All-American honors in both events.(EC Athletics)
