Carol A. Schroer (nee Dieselberg) of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024, after reaching the age of 88 years. After many months of failing health, she died peacefully at The Otterbein Center in Lebanon, Ohio. She is preceded in death by Edward, her devoted husband of 65 years.
 As a young woman she married the love of her life and followed him around the world during his 20-year Air Force career. She was the epitome of a military wife and mother. After their retirement from the Air Force, they settled in Harrison, Ohio, in 1975.
 She was an active member of the community and joined (FRESH) Fernald Residents for Environmental Safety and Health organization, as well as being an active member of churches and charities in the Harrison community. Her absence will be felt throughout the community by everyone who knew her and loved her.
 She was a gentle and caring matriarch to her family, a good friend to all, and always had a smile and a friendly approach to anyone she would meet. She was an excellent mother to all five of her children and she succeeded in teaching and guiding them into adulthood, as well as being a loving and beloved grandmother and great-grandmother.
 Carol’s children are Robert A. Schroer (Carol) of New Braunfels, Texas, William Schroer of Seattle, Wash., Kenneth Schroer (Debra) of Norway, S.C., Susan Koehler (Shawn) of Colerain, Ohio, and Stephen Schroer (Dianna) of Morrow, Ohio, and they will greatly miss her loving embrace and sweet nature.
 Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m. on Monday, April 22 at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park. A reception will follow in the Community Room at the funeral home until 3:30 p.m. Online condolences may be shared at www.MRFH.com.
