Barbara Vandermuellen, 85, of Lawrenceburg, Ind., passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024. She was born June 5, 1938, in Huntington, W.V., daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Alice (York) Fetty.
 Barbara was an active member of Tanner Valley United Methodist Church and a member of Southeastern Indiana Art Guild. She enjoyed painting, especially water colors, even taking classes at Dearborn Adult Center. She loved flamingos.
 She is survived by her loving husband, John Vandermuellen of Lawrenceburg; two daughters, Denise (Wayne) Conover of Greendale, Ind., Renee (Karl) Nakel of Fort Worth, Texas; two grandchildren, Travis (Lindsay) Conover, Jessica Conover; and her granddogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Mary Alice Fetty; and her brother, Randy Fetty.
 Family and friends were received on Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home Sunday, April 7, 2024, at 3 p.m. with Pastor Ginny Hizer officiating.
