Marian Janet Ross, 91, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. She was born February 11, 1933 in Greensburg, Indiana, daughter of the late George and Mary (Morling) Schmeltzer.
 She was member of the Aurora American Legion Keith Ross Post #231 Ladies Auxiliary and the Manchester Civic Club. She was always an active participant in all of her children’s activities and sports. She was a Poll Worker for numerous years and was a former member of “Sweet Adelines”.
 She is survived by her 3 sons, Dan (Carolyn) Ross of Aurora, IN, Jack Ross of Aurora, IN, Keith (Denise) Ross of Dillsboro, IN; 2 daughters, Karen (Mark Willard) Koskela of Dublin, NH, Mary Kay Fischer of Manchester, IN; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She also has numerous other “Children” that will miss her greatly.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Schmeltzer; husband, Kenneth L. Ross; and 3 brothers, Ralph Schmeltzer, Don Schmeltzer, and Hank Schmeltzer.
 Family and friends will be received on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 11 am, with Pastor Rev. Mona Safely officiating.
 Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
