Lillian (Boggs) Davis, 81, of Dillsboro, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023, at her residence.
Lillian was born in Partridge, Kentucky, on June 1, 1942, a daughter of the late Fancie (Cornett) Boggs and Linville Boggs. She was married to Don Davis for over 34 years until his passing on Sept. 8, 2015.
Lillian worked in the medical field for several years, with much of that time being spent at Waterman Hospital in Eustis, Florida. She was a wonderful cook and loved making meals for her family. Lillian was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Benton Harbor, Michigan, and enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to gospel music. Lillian always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lillian is survived by a daughter, Maria Hughes and husband Bill, of Benton Harbor, Michigan; by three sons: Abraham Hall and wife Peggy, of Aurora, Indiana; Ben Hall and wife Kim, of Rising Sun, Indiana; Rex Hall and wife Anna, of Aberdeen, Indiana; by grandchildren: Josh, Amber, Ashley, Blake, David, Stacia, Andy and Kenny and by great-grandchildren: Nathan, Marisa, Trey, Lucian, Kimberly, Austin, Zoe, Lilly, Elias, Cason, Briar, Kenny & Scotty. Lillian is also survived by her stepchildren, Donald Davis and Angie Tomko and families and by the father of her children, Vernon Hall. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Don, by two sisters, Mary Courter and Lena Tanksley and by four brothers, Arlie, Duke, Dock, and Buck Boggs.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, Indiana, with Rev. Bill Hughes officiating. Visitation will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1, at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
