Mattie Lynn Agner, 69, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. She was born March 30, 1954, in Batesville, Indiana, daughter of the late Mayor Carl Agner and Mary (Adams) Agner. 

Mattie was a member of the Dearborn Baptist Church. She was the past organist/pianist for the Ludlow Hill Baptist Church. She was an avid reader who was also a talented artist who enjoyed painting. She was a great sister and aunt. She worked as a utilities clerk for the city of Lawrenceburg.

She is survived by her two brothers, Johnny Wayne (Monda) Agner of Guilford, Indiana, Carl (Rebecca) Agner of Florence, Kentucky; two nieces, Traci Lynn Agner, Rachel Lynn Agner; three nephews, John Matthew Agner, Jeremy Wayne Agner, Carl Jefferson Agner; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mayor Carl Agner and Mary Agner.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 31, 2023, from 11 a.m. to noon at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Monday, July 31, 2023, at noon, with Pastor Gordon Shinkle officiating.

Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
