Marian A. Bentle, 92, of Milan, Indiana, formerly of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023.
She was born May 22, 1930, in Wilmington, Indiana, daughter of the late Carl Wesemann and Elma (Kaiser) Wesemann.
Marian was a member of St John Lutheran Church Aurora, and a Lutheran Women’s Missionary League member (Ladies Aide) where she served as secretary. Marian was the custodian of the church for several years. She also was a member of the Hogan Township Home Ec Club, and she always enjoyed cooking. Time with her family was her greatest joy.
Marian is survived by her loving children, Michael (late Cheryl) Bentle of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Patricia Smither of East Enterprise, Indiana, Nancy Rumsey of Moores Hill, Indiana; son-in-law, Daniel Vorbroker, sisters, Doris Jean Wesemann of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Shirley Daugherty of Pensacola, Florida; sister-in-law, Corrine Wesemann; grandchildren, Cassidy (Steve) Wolf, Meghan Bentle, Penny Clayton, Emily Bradley, Casey (Nick) Kroger, Sara Vorbroker, Mitchell Vorbroker, Adam (Melinda) Rumsey, Ryan Rumsey; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Clayton A Bentle (married in 1951); parents, Carl and Elma Wesemann; daughter, Jane Annette Vorbroker; sisters, Linda M. Fortner, Elaine Luke, Jeanette Torokhanian; and brother, James E. Wesemann.
Friends will be received Saturday, May 6, 2023, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the St. John Lutheran Church, 220 Mechanic St., Aurora, Indiana, 47001.
Services will be held following visitation at 1 p.m. at the church.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
