CONNIE DIXON

Connie Dixon, 76, of Columbus, Ind., passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025. She was born on January 23, 1949, in Batesville, Ind., the daughter of the late Wallace and Hollis (Mason) Boyles.

Connie was an avid bowler and a proud member of several bowling leagues over the years. She loved to travel – both throughout the United States and across Europe – with Ireland holding a special place in her heart. Connie enjoyed camping, birdwatching, and sharing her famous Christmas cookies and candy with family and friends. Throughout her career, she worked as an administrative assistant at several banks, where she was known for her dedication and kindness.

She is survived by her loving husband, Danny Dixon of Columbus; brother, Russell Boyles of Lawrenceburg, Ind.; sister, Vicki (Terry) Stephens of Guilford, Ind.; nephew, Corey (Chance) Stephens; nieces, Miranda (Dylan) Chase and Megan (Parker) Gillespie; great-nieces and great-nephews, Brecken Stephens, Vaylyn Stephens, Crew Gillespie, Cain Gillespie, and Blake Gillespie; as well as numerous cousins and extended family members. Connie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Melvin and Patrice.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, 455 Ridge Ave, Greendale, IN 47025. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Ginny Hizer officiating.

A private burial will take place at the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale.

Memorial contributions may be made to Miller York Fire Department or National Jewish Hospital in Denver.
