TERI BECKER

03/09/1945 – 09/24/2025

Teri Ann Becker (nee Yeager) of Harrison, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, at the age of 80 surrounded by her loving family.

Teri was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on March 9, 1945, to John Clyde and Helen Mary (Rolfes) Yeager. Teri grew up in Harrison where she enjoyed a wonderful childhood with family and friends along with her younger sister, Mary Lee. She attended St. John the Baptist grade school and Seton High School. Teri graduated from University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy in 1968. There she met Don, the love of her life, along with a dear group of friends that have remained close for over 50 years. Teri and Don were married on November 22, 1969, at St. John the Baptist Church in Harrison. After a short honeymoon weekend in Cincinnati they moved to Norfolk, Va., for the next three years while Don served in the U.S. Navy. Following Don’s completion of service, they returned to her hometown where they raised their five children, Jennie, Christa, Matthew, Mary, and Susan. Teri worked at Village Pharmacy and McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 2011.

Teri was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished sister, and doting grandmother. She loved her family, faith, profession, and community. She found joy in the simple things in life: being outdoors in nature, gardening, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She loved get-togethers with a large group of her Rolfes first cousins. She ran a household of seven with ease. She was grateful to live “up on the hill” where her grandparents lived during her childhood.

Teri quietly led and supported her family, often even before they realized they needed help. Her children will always remember her laughter, joy, and stories. She was the magic maker of holidays when her children were growing up and along with Don gave them the best childhood they could imagine; they will be forever grateful and will carry on her traditions. Teri enjoyed being a mother-in-law to her children’s spouses. She relished being a grandmother and enjoyed celebrating in her grandchildren’s successes and milestones as the next generation grew up.

Teri valued being productive, had an impeccable work ethic, and led by example. She was always working on something fromone of her many lists. She loved all things Harrison and family history. She was a former President of the Harrison Village Historical Society. She was a member of the Veteran Apothecary Association of Cincinnati (VAAC). She was raised a devout Catholic and relied on her faith throughout her life through hardships and good times.

Teri will live on in the hearts of her family that she adored: Jennie (Said) Elhamri, Christa (Michael) Mattis, Matthew Becker, Mary Becker, and Susan (Bob) Thompson; grandchildren: Laila and Yasmina Elhamri, Cara, Jonathan, and Andrew Mattis, Charlotte and Mason Becker, and Aubree Thompson; along with sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Jerry Kiser, Ken and Angela Becker, and Audrey and Scott Gregg. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Teri is preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Donald Becker; her parents, Helen and John Yeager; sister, Mary Lee Kiser; parents-in-law, Emma and Louis Becker; sister-in-law Margaret Smith; and nephew Andy Smith.

Funeral services were held with Brater-Winter Funeral Home and burial took place at St. John’s Cemetery.
