James Matthew “Jim” Dickman, 54, of Rising Sun, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025. He was born on June 25, 1971, in Cin­cinnati, Ohio, son of James and Sharon (Hartman) Dickman.
 Jim was a member of the Vineyard Community Church in Aurora, In­diana. He had a passion for grilling and using his smoker, and he loved to travel-especially to Can­cun and the family home in Florida. Whether boat­ing in the Gulf or enjoy­ing the peace of his farm in Indiana, Jim found joy in the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life. He was a dedicated Senior Mechanical En­gineer at Honeywell.
 Jim is survived by his loving wife, Connie Dickman of Rising Sun, IN; his daughter, Zoey Dickman of Rising Sun, IN; his parents, James and Sharon Dickman of Cincinnati, OH; his sister, Kathy Mapes of Green­dale, IN; brother-in-law, Gaylen (Gail) Mattson of California; and many ex­tended family members and dear friends.
 Visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will fol­low at 11:00 AM, officiated by Pastor Da­vid Hall and Will Ste­vens.
 In lieu of flowers, con­tributions may be made to the Vineyard Community Church.
