Russell “Poppy” Lowell Gambrel, Jr. was born on April 23, 1944, in Barbourville, Kentucky. He peacefully departed this life on August 15, 2025, in Harrison, Ohio.
 The community is invited to honor Russell’s life during visitation on August 23, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, Harrison, Ohio. Burial will follow at Gibson Cemetery in Bright, Indiana.
