Engel, Donald R.- Born September 20, 1936 in Cincinnati to the late Raymond and Alice (nee Tharp) Engel. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis (nee Fagaly), who preceded him in death in 1980, and the late Angela “Angel” (nee Wash) in 2022. Don is survived by his loving children: Cindy (Joe) Toney, Cathy (Mark) Schutte, and Donnie (Cassie) Engel, Jr.; cherished grandchildren: Joe Toney, Jr., Tammi (Chris) Waite, Jenny (Lloyd) Sexton, Michael Schutte, and Jake Schutte; step-children: Paul (Wendy) Toney, Joe (Fawn) Toney, Kathy (Johnny) Cross, and Todd (April) Toney; and step-grandchildren: Issac, Andrew, and Leah Toney, Joseph “Sonny” Toney, Zachary (Laurie) Aulbach, Miranda (Jimmy) Bellman, Dustin (Angel) Dilbeck, Danielle Dilbeck (Christian Alfano), Alicia (Robert) McGuire, Austin Dilbeck, Tristian Roberts, Michael Anderson, and Ryan Anderson. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Passed away February 15, 2025 at the age of 88.
 After retirement, Don, along with his wife, Angel, enjoyed traveling, cruising, wintering in Florida, and visiting Port Clinton, where they had fish frys and played cards with their neighbors. Don loved the outdoors- fishing, hunting, and boating. He loved to take camping trips, going to and having yard sales, and setting up at White’s Farm. Don’s children always looked forward to going to Ferguson Flea Market and auctions growing up with their dad. Don never missed a grandkids sporting event, Cincinnati Red’s game, or gardening in his garden.
