DOLLY ANITA BROWN

 Dolly Anita Brown, 89, of Greendale, Ind., passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024. She was born January 16, 1935 in Jackson, Ky., daughter of the late William and Laura (Walters) Watkins.
 Dolly was a faithful member of Greendale First Church of Christ where she sang in the choir and never missed a Sunday service. She loved telling stories of her younger years … she was one of 11 siblings (all girls except one). She had a gracious heart and liked to cook, garden and take care of her flowers. She worked as a cook at Central Elementary School.
 She is survived by her niece and caregiver, Pam Rickett of Madison, Ind.; two sons, James (Debbie) Brown of Moore Hill, Ind., Danny Brown of Greendale; one brother, Glenn (Marceda) Watkins of Bennington, Ind.; three sisters, Christine Taylor of Hebron, Ky., Loretta (Tim) Wilson of Independence, Ky., Carol Sue Wilcher of Stanford, Ky.; three grandchildren, Jamie Brown, Shannon Brown, Scott Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Laura Watkins; her loving husband, Eddie Brown; and six sisters, Juanita Merrill, Shirley Fugate, Betty Harney, Geneva Williams, Pauline Howe, Bea Dickerson.
 Family and friends will be received on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Friday, December 20, 2024, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tim Russell officiating.
 Interment will follow in Greendale Cemetery, Greendale.
